Many detailers on the open market are not aware of FAA standards and aircraft maintenance common practices. This results in them using items on your De-icing boots that are not approved or listed in your Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). All Collins Aerospace Goodrich ® products are developed by our in-house chemical and materials engineers and fully tested in our onsite icing wind tunnel. This ensures that not only do your de-icers look top notch but also perform the critical task of De-Icing your aircraft in flight. Use of unapproved products on your de-icers could not only void your warranty but also lead to ice anchoring and/or the inability to inflate fully to properly shed ice.
